Properly trained service dogs can provide an impact to daily life

Alexandra has spent her life surrounded by dogs since a young child. Growing up, her father bred and raised 20 to 25 dogs at a time for hunting. She spent many years learning how to train dogs to track and hunt animal for food for their family. She also spent time with the local Sheriff Office K9 team, laying tracks for the blood hounds for training.

Alexandra Nass

At the age of 17 Alexandra enlisted in the United States Army as a 31K; Military Working Dog Handler. After basic training, she was sent to Lackland AFB to attend Military Working Dog School where she graduated top of her class receiving the Top Dog Award from the school. The next four years working and training numerous MWDs in detection of explosives and narcotics, extensive obedience training and obstacle courses as well as patrol bite work. Throughout her time as a handler she was selected to go on 9 different secret service dogs with her bomb dogs MWD Charley & MWD Oki including missions for Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense , Joint Chief of Staff, she also assigned to both the Democratic & Republican National Conventions of 2016. During this time, she conducted thousands of explosive sweeps to provide security to the military installation and fellow soldiers. She also attended an advance k9 decoy course.

In 2017, Alexandra was honorable discharge from the Army and continued her career in the dog world in the private sector. She worked for Service Dog Express a service dog company that trained service dogs for a large range of disabilities, AMK9 where she trained police K9 dogs for law enforcement agencies & other federal agencies. In 2018, Alexandra began her own dog training company called Command K9 Behavior.

During the same time becoming an explosive detection dog handler for Garrison & Sloan working on the Disney Cruise Line in Port Canaveral, FL, ensuring the cruise ship, guest, staff, luggage and port were free and clear of explosives. In 2019 she became the head trainer for another nonprofit training service dogs for disabled veterans.

During this time Alexandra attended Jo Thor Dog Trainers Academy and after a couple years obtained her Master Dog Trainers Certificate. As well as graduating as a Trick Dog Instructor after completing trick dog title with her personal dog Trump.

Alexandra is a 100% disabled veteran herself. She has her own service dog named Trump, who helps her with mobility, PTSD, Panic Attacks & depression. He has been her service dog for 4 years and has made a remarkable impact on her daily life. Throughout her own experience in the military causing physical and physiological disabilities, she has learned the true impact a properly trained service dog can provide to someone’s daily life. Alexandra wants to share her knowledge and training with other to provide the best quality of life possible for others with disabilities.

Our dog was subjected to a previous trainer with methods that should never be utilized. Because of the interaction with this person, my loving dog was fearful of strangers and reacted in a manner we had never seen before. We went from requesting assistance with modifying day to day behaviors to needing correction for the damage caused. Our dog Winston was blessed to have Ally train him! It took almost a week for her to actually put hands on him, but little by little she saw the dog that we know and love. Her positive reinforcement, attention to detail and determination brought him back. By the end of her training, he had little to no reaction to strangers entering his space including knocking on the door and or ringing a doorbell. Strangers were literally able to encroach on his space, feed him treats and pet him. And to top of it off, what we initially reached out for training she was able to accomplish those goals as well. He learned how to stay, walk properly on a leash, not to jump and expand on the training we as his owners taught him prior. Winston truly is a good boy and very much loved by his family. As I told Ally, I now cannot be given the stink eye for his special treat corner. He’s always been motivated by food and because of this it allowed the barriers to be broken and for others to see the true Winston. Cosmo my multipoo spent 2 weeks being boarded at command k9. I felt comfortable leaving him to be trained in their capable hands. I am so thankful for the work they did with him. He went from being a good dog with naughty habits like stealing food, jumping, no recall, climbing into the ups truck, and running away to actually listening. He now has manners and listens to his commands. Best money I have ever spent. I wish we did this years ago. I am thankful for the affordable and good training he received. Thank you!!!

highly recommend. We sent our puppy for the 4 week training course and he has done excellent. They provide updates throughout the training. you even get private training classes to make sure we are up to par training the dog and to continue the training process!!!

Command K9 Behavior is the best, I brought my puppy there to get trained shortly after my husband passed away, and Ally, is doing a fabulous job helping me train him, to be the best dog I have ever owned. He is learning so much and I am able to continue to teach him at home. I highly recommend Command K9 Behavior for any size dog. Mine is a small dog when I looked at the website all I saw was big dogs, but she does great with all sizes.

I highly recommend them! Anytime I had questions about Waffles I’d get an update or video. We got to visit him whenever we wanted. I waited to leave a review a few weeks after and I can say even though Waffles is stubborn, he came back potty trained, he listens A LOT better. But the girls did amazing & whenever I get my next dog in the future or recommend someone, it’d definitely be them.

Sent my 7 month old Lab Forrest to the two week advanced obedience course and I can’t believe the results. Forrest no longer jumps up on you when you greet him, you can take him to outside dinning and he stays at your side barely have to hold the lease even with other dogs at the next table. He responds to visual as well as verbal commands and his walks are close to being off lease no longer pulling and dragging you around Thank you to Command K9 🐕
